PURPOSE
Purpose of the Ministry
The Scriptures teach that the most important goal in any ministry is bringing men to Christ through the Gospel. Therefore, the purpose of this ministry is to have an impact on the entire community, by offering salvation through Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).
Doctrine of the Ministry
The Word of God
We believe the scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are the verbally inspired Word of God. God's Word is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. In it is all that is needed for a person to know how to love God and their neighbor (II Tim. 3:16 -17; II Peter 1:3, 20-21). In fact, scripture alone is sufficient for all areas of ministry including preaching, teaching, counseling and daily living. Because of this, we believe expository preaching/teaching (verse by verse) to be the best way to communicate these truths and effectively change lives.
Depravity of Man
We believe that man was made in the image and likeness of God but that in Adam's sin the mankind fell, inheriting a sinful nature and becoming enemies of God (Rom. 5:10). We believe that due to man's depravity he is helpless to remedy his lost condition (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:10 -18; Rom. 5:12; Eph. 2:1-3, 12).
Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe the greatest news for all mankind is that Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, became a man and accomplished our redemption on the cross through His death. He did this to glorify His Father and reconcile man to God. Jesus then rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. Just as Christ was resurrected from the dead, so will all who by faith embrace Christ as their Savior.
Salvation
We further believe that salvation from the wrath of God is offered to all humanity. We believe that only through personal faith in the atoning death of Christ and His resurrection can a person receive salvation. We believe that salvation is a gift of God given to those who accept Christ as their personal Savior. We believe that God chose the elect before the foundation of the world (John 15:16; Rom. 8:28 -30; Rom. 9:14 -18; Eph. 1:4).
Mission Statement
To offer the Glorious Hope of eternal life. Through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior.
To therefore disciple, baptize, and equip believers for evangelism, ministry and sanctification for God’s ultimate Praise, Honor, and Worship. Looking forward to the Hope of his Glorious return.
